Well, here it is! Sonic is now 20!
This is my piece for Sonic Project 20! [link] It hath been accepted, and I couldn't be more happy with it. I actually finished it several months ago, but I wanted to wait to post it till the DAY OF, so here ya go! My first attempt at cell shading, and let me tell you, it was hard. I absolutely love the outcome though!
I would make it my official style, but it just takes TOO LONG! This took me well over 6 months to finish, so yeah.
After this, I only have ONE other cell shading piece, and then I think I'll save it for special occasions.
Happy 20th, Sonic!! I wish I had an X-Box!

After looking at my own hand and making many poses as similar to that as possible, I see what the oddity is. It's actually almost all the fingers, truth be told... it's not that any of them are in the wrong place, it's that if the pointer's stretched upward that high, the other four wouldn't be able to stay so tight. The closer they get to the pointer, the looser they are, and the thumb should be aimed a little more upward for the same reason. On the other hand (not his other hand, I mean metaphorically {HEH}), in order to keep his other fingers that tight, the pointer can be pointed (HEH) a bit more forward.

The shines on his eyes are really amazing!
I just completely love the colouring, the shadings and highlights, the effects with the dust flying under his feet and the tiny details on him! All of it is just so perfect, mind-blowing, breathtaking, phenomenal, accurate and professional! I really want to applaud you until my hands go red!
